Our research explores how architecture, urbanism, and landscape can respond to the pressing challenges of our time, from climate breakdown and displacement to economic injustice and the erosion of public space. We focus on places shaped by crisis, neglect, or structural inequality, drawing on methods like collaborative fieldwork, spatial analysis, community storytelling, and design experimentation. Our work investigates themes including water and land justice, disaster response, circular economies, borders and migration, heritage repair, and community-led development. By centering local knowledge, everyday experiences, and the dignity of labor, we aim to generate practical, low-cost, and culturally grounded strategies for more just, resilient, and caring environments. Our research doesn’t just ask questions it builds capacity, supports collective action, and informs real-world transformation.
