About yara al-khalaylah

Yara Al-Khalaylah is an Architect with a growing professional profile shaped by international education and practical experience across both design and community-focused initiatives. She built her foundation with a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture & Interior Architecture from the German Jordanian University (2025), enriched by an international academic exchange year at Ostwestfalen-Lippe University of Applied Sciences – Technische Hochschule Ostwestfalen-Lippe – (TH OWL) in Germany (2023-2024).Her professional journey is shaped by hands-on experience and interdisciplinary learning, including international practice through a spatial design internship where she contributed to architectural and brand experience projects, as well as participation in international workshops on regenerative landscapes, community-led recovery, and a DAAD-backed sustainable agritourism project. These experiences further inform her commitment to participatory design and sustainable development frameworks. Yara is particularly drawn to projects where architecture serves as a medium of care and cultural stewardship, especially within vulnerable contexts. She believes in the discipline as a civic practice that thoughtfully connects people to place, engages directly with community needs, and integrates new solutions into existing social fabrics to foster resilience and identity through intentional, inclusive design that bridges local and international perspectives.
