Social Cohesion
We are an interdisciplinary team of urbanists, architects, landscape architects, and researchers committed to shaping futures rooted in Gentle Care—care for people, places, and the planet.
Our platform bridges academic research, participatory methods, and hands-on design to reclaim neglected spaces and transform them into environments of dignity, resilience, and shared responsibility.
In a time marked by climate crisis, social inequality, displacement, and urban and rural neglect, we reject developer-driven, capital-centric approaches. Instead, we advocate for architecture and urbanism grounded in ethics of care, circular economies, and community-led solutions.
Our work centers care for all children, youth, mothers, fathers, families, and elders, regardless of gender, race, religion, or background. We believe in democratic design, where communities are actively involved in shaping the spaces they inhabit.
Operating at the intersection of theory and practice, we collaborate with communities, experts, and institutions to reimagine public spaces, landscapes, housing, and infrastructure, particularly in areas impacted by crisis and structural injustice.
We prioritize lived experiences, embrace local culture, and promote community empowerment by fostering skills, strengthening local economies, and cultivating collective agency.
Beyond design and research, we lead educational programs, facilitate public dialogue, and create platforms that amplify community voices, share knowledge, and build capacity for meaningful transformation.
Through our work in design, research, education, and advocacy, we strive to cultivate more equitable, livable, and ecologically responsible futures across borders, cities, and rural landscapes.

– Founder
We promote sustainable, circular economies that are deeply intertwined with local labor, ecological responsibility, and community well-being. Our approach supports self-managed infrastructures, local production, and the creative reuse of existing buildings and materials. We believe that caring for the environment starts with recognizing the interconnection between diverse economies, ecological systems, and the dignity of work.
Water and Land We engage with the urgent need to safeguard water and land. From access to clean water and sewage treatment to the threats of flooding and land sealing, our work addresses the core environmental injustices shaping everyday life on a broken planet.
Climate disasters—floods, storms, earthquakes—are rising. We develop adaptive, low-cost, and dignified architectural solutions that offer more than just shelter: they support recovery, resilience, and restoration in the aftermath of disaster.
Public spaces are increasingly privatized, policed, and commodified. We advocate for inclusive, open, and culturally meaningful public spaces that foster interaction, belonging, and shared ownership. Through prototypes and participatory workshops, we reimagine urban commons that serve people, not profit.
Borders are not just lines on a map—they are sites of trauma, exclusion, and conflict. We challenge the violent spatial politics of nation-states and advocate for just geographies that address social, political, and ecological displacement.
We resist the extractive logic of the global aid and construction industries. Instead, we invest in local skills, traditional building techniques, and heritage crafts that are ecologically responsive and climate-adaptive. We believe in building with, not for, communities—strengthening local economies and breaking cycles of dependency.
Repair is more than maintenance—it is a creative, respectful, and transformative act. We work with existing buildings, acknowledging their material specificity and cultural history, to co-create new futures without erasing the past.
Sustainable futures depend on reconnecting urban and rural livelihoods. By supporting local production and reconfiguring labor relations, we foster what we call productive ecologies—systems that nourish communities, cultures, and ecosystems alike.
