About Rahaf Asmar

Rahaf Asmar is an urban planner and emerging landscape architect whose practice explores the intersection of spatial design, ecological systems, and socio-cultural dynamics. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning and Design Engineering from Birzeit University BZU (2023), and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture at Sapienza University of Rome. Her academic journey is shaped by international exchange and interdisciplinary learning, including her participation in the Erasmus+ program at the Estonian University of Life Sciences EMÜ – Institute of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences. In addition to her engagement in international workshops within different contexts which broadened her interest in sustainable urban development. Rahaf is working at the intersection of skills set combining urban design, landscape planning, GIS mapping, and spatial analysis Rahaf is particularly drawn to projects that respond to the lived realities of contested geographies. She believes in planning as a means to challenge exclusionary systems  not just as a technical process, but as a critical practice that can amplify local voices, reclaim public space, and foster resilience through design.
